Getting Started
DO YOU WANT TO BRING THE GOFISH NEWORK TO YOUR DIOCESE?
Remember that GoFISH is not a group. It is a system, community and a collection of tools to help you and your parish be more effective in bringing people into the church!
STEP 1 - APPROVAL
Please, begin by obtaining the required approval from your group leader, pastor and bishop.
STEP 2 - REVIEW
We recommend you start by going to the PRESENTATIONS menu item, download and watch the "Summary" and "Challenges & Solutions" presentations. Those short presentations will give you a quick look into the Go FISH Global concept!
Tip:
If those two presentations have sparked an interest in you, please watch the: 1) Structure Training presentation, and 2) the Outreach & Evangelization training presentation.
STEP 3
If interested in training others in your diocese, parish or group using the Go FISH Global Structure and/or the Outreach & Evangelization training presentation, schedule a date to show the presentations, and invite others to those training sessions.
If you need help from Go FISH Global World headquarters, please contact us.
NOTE:
All online resources and help from our world headquarters are FREE! However, if you require that someone visit you to train you or help you set up the structure, we might have volunteers available for you. If not, there might be a charge for that (i.e. travel and lodging costs, and a reasonable fee for the time spent at your site.)
STEP 4 - OTHER ESTABLISHED OPTIONS
If you have already trained your team using the Go FISH Structure and Outreach & Evangelization presentations and desire further knowledge OR if you prefer to use another method instead, it is time to look through the menu items "OUTREACH & EVANGELIZATION GROUPS" and the OUTREACH & EVANGELIZATION METHODS" to obtain further information, methods and resources. If you need a little guidance, please contact us.
STEP 5 - STILL NOT SATISFIED?
Not satisfied? It is time to get creative and come up with a method to which you feel your audience will be most receptive. Then, present your method to your group leader, parish or bishop for approval as required by your local leadership.
STEP 6 - SHARE WITH OTHERS
Please send us your group's contact information, methods, downloadable resources, testimonies and pictures so that others might benefit from your outreach & evangelization blessgings! Thank you for saying “YES” to that which the Lord, Jesus Christ has called us all.
