GET STARTED

WOULD YOU LIKE TO ESTABLISH A GO FISH GLOBAL "NET"
WITHIN YOUR DIOCESE, PARISH OR GROUP?  FOLLOW STEPS 1 - 7 BELOW!

Remember that Go FISH Global is not a group.  It is a Resource for you!  It is a collection of tools to help you, your group, your parish and/or your diocese be more effective in bringing people into the Church!

PREFER TO HAVE YOUR GROUP LEARN SOME BASICS ON OUTREACH & EVANGELIZATION, AND THEN ACT IMMEDIATELY?
If so, on the PRESENTATIONS page, download and watch the
Outreach & Evangelization training presentations.

STEP 1 - REVIEW

We recommend you start by going to the PRESENTATIONS page.  There you can download and watch the "Summary" and "Challenges & Solutions" presentations.  Those presentations will give you a quick look into the Go FISH Global concept.

If those presentations spark an interest in you, please watch the: 1) Structure Training (Full) presentation, and 2) the Outreach & Evangelization (Full) training presentation for complete details. You will need to watch these two in order to fully understand the Go FISH Global concept.

STEP 2 - APPROVAL

If you think the Go FISH Global concept can help your diocese, parish or group, please obtain the required approval from your Bishop, Pastor and/or Group leader.

Have them watch the "Summary" and "Challenges and Solutions" presentations.
Inform them that, in order to fully understand the Go FISH GLobal concept, they will need to see the:
1) Structure Training (Full) presentation, and 2) the Outreach & Evangelization (Full) training presentation.

Mention to them all of the points from the FULL versions of the Structure and Outreach & Evangelization training presentations that YOU consider potentially important to your local area.  The MINI versions, while informative, wll not give you a complete understanding.

STEP 3 - TRAINING OTHERS

If interested in training others in your diocese, parish or group on how to use the Go FISH Global Structure and/or the Outreach & Evangelization training presentations, schedule a date to show the presentations, and invite others to those training sessions. Make sure to allot enough time to a) show the presentations, b) for discussion, and c) go on an expedition.

If you need help from Go FISH Global World headquarters, please contact us.

NOTE: All online resources and verbal / written help from our world headquarters are FREE!  If you require a personal visit from one of out crew members to train you or help you set up the structure, we might be able to send volunteers that live (or happen to be) near you that could help you at no charge. However, if Go FISH Global has no crew members near you, we might need to ask you to cover the costs of travel, lodging, and, for extended stays, a reasonable fee for the time spent at your site. In all cases, we will do things as inexpensively as possible.

STEP 4 - OTHER ESTABLISHED OPTIONS

If you have already trained your team using the Go FISH Structure and Outreach & Evangelization presentations, and desire further knowledge, OR, if you prefer to use another method instead, it is time to look through the pages entitled "OUTREACH & EVANGELIZATION GROUPS" and  "OUTREACH & EVANGELIZATION METHODS" to obtain further information, methods and resources. If you need a little guidance, please contact us.

STEP 5 - STILL NOT SATISFIED?  LET'S LOOK ELSEWHERE OR GET CREATIVE!

If, after consulting with groups listed on the "Outreach & Evangelization Groups" page and / or reviewing other methods on the "Outreach & Evangelization Methods" page, you still feel you need another approach, you could either: a) look elsewhere for other solutions, or b) prayerfully come up with a method to which you feel your audience will be most receptive. Then, present your method for approval as required by your local leadership (your bishop, pastor or group leader).

STEP 6 - TEST YOUR METHODS

At this point, you have decided upon how you are going to BEGIN. However, it will take some time before you determine what works best in your area. This is normal. Take notes on the responses of the participants as well as the reponses of the "Fish" with which you come in contact. It is of vital importance that you determine which methods can be labelled "Best Practices".  When performing outreach & evangelization, one doesn't always see immediate results. Someones we plant, sometimes we water, sometimes we sow.  But, if you happen to come across ideas that do seem to cause the unchurched to look into the Church immediately, please take note of it.

STEP 7 - SHARE WITH OTHERS

So, you've discovered that something is really working well in your local area? Please inform everyone around your diocese.  Get the word out! Also, Please send us your group's contact information, methods, downloadable resources, testimonies and pictures so that others in your country and around the world might benefit from your outreach & evangelization blessings!  The Church is a global family. Sharing youselves with others will nourish it and help it grow.

Thank you for saying “YES” to Christ's calling to spread the Good News to all nations!
